Federation of Azerbaijani Americans was founded on August 8, 2020 by Azerbaijani youth living in the States of the East Coast of the United States. It was officially registered as non-profit organization in September 2020 in New Jersey. FAA is governed by the Board of Directors with executive responsibility and on August 14,2020 conducted its first election for FAA 2020-2021 Presidency and Vice Presidency. In addition to the Board of Directors, FAA has a Supervisory Board and General Assembly.

To convey the national interests of the Republic of Azerbaijan to US public organizations, authorities, and leaders.
To achieve useful and effective cooperation between Azerbaijanis living in the United States.
To promote public support for the sustainable development of US-Azerbaijani relations.
